From rags ....er remnants... to... a skirt!

We went to my parent's house for Thanksgiving. While there, my mom dug a bunch of leftover material out of the crawlspace and gave it to me for sewing. In that big pile, I found some really cute, coordinating heart materials. There was just enough to make a super cute skirt for Shaggy.



I doubled the striped material since it was pretty lightweight. I only sewed one seam in the back to make a very wide tube. I cut two long strips of the coordinating heart material, hemmed it, then basted it to make a ruffle. I sewed the ruffle to the bottom of the skirt, created a casing for the elastic waistband and... voila! A super cute Valentine's twirly skirt!




And no pattern!! Even my mother was impressed! LOL
