Three Chairs

I am now the proud owner of a tile top table with pull out leaves .... and three somewhat matching chairs. I did not go shopping for this dinette set. It came to me as a gift of sorts.

About a month ago, my father's mother passed away. The dinette set is from her tiny kitchen and was where she ate the majority of her meals. In the morning, she'd sit at the table, drinking her coffee and working word puzzles.

Her house was built in the 40s I think. It's teeny tiny. Space was tight so she kept this table pushed up against a wall and only needed three chairs for it.

It's so odd to have a four sided table with only three chairs but it will alway remind me of her and her itsy bitsy house.
